Acro Dance Inter/Adv (13yrs+) – Tuesday
Acrobatic training teaches flexibility, balance, strength, discipline, and concentration. A dancer will gain more flexibility and strength thru progressive drills. Acrobatic movements can include handstands, hand balances, somersaults, walk-over variations, headstands, aerials, elbow stands, cartwheel variations and more! The goal is to place Acro skills into a dance routine, therefore blending artistry with athleticism.
This class will be a mix of levels, and students will be given variations for their experience to work safely where they are at, BUT it is an intermediate/advanced class. Students must be enrolled in at least 1-4 other classes a week. Pre-req skills: Standing to a bridge, cartwheel both sides, kick over from bridge( with stack is ok), recover (with a spot/block is ok), headstand with leg variations, inside out bridge, forward/backward roll.
