Contemporary Ballet Technique (14yrs+)

NEW SPECIAL CLASS FOR THE FALL!!  We are so lucky Acacia will be a guest teacher at the studio this fall.

The class will focus on building technique with a ballet base and a contemporary lens. It will strengthen classical lines, turns, jumps, dynamics and different qualities in the body, helping to build versatility within the dancer, so they have more tools when approaching choreography. Geared for experienced dancers who want to push their skills to the next level.

Ballet builds a strong base, concise technique, and alignment, all of which facilitate movement clarity and vocabulary and help develop musicality, strength, grace, precision and focus.  The contemporary lens will also introduce spinal articulation, new pathways of arms and more torso freedom.
For dancers with several years of dance experience, who demonstrate a strong work ethic, clear technique, and a fundamental understanding of the ballet positions, terminology, and musicality, and want to push themselves in class.
